Located in a 19th century Armenian neo-classical residence, the movie theater was opened in 1948 as one of the biggest cinemas in the Beyoğlu district. Today, it hosts several local & international film festivals.
Istanbul Cinema Museum, located in the former stage theater of the building, hosts various exhibitions about local & international cinema culture.
