Anadolu Feneri
Anadolufeneri, 34829 Beykoz/İstanbul, Türkiye
Perched on the northernmost tip of Istanbul’s Asian side, Anadolu Feneri is a historic lighthouse guarding the Bosphorus' entrance to the Black Sea. Built in 1856 during the Ottoman period, it was initially managed by the French before being taken over by Turkish authorities. The lighthouse, standing 75 meters above sea level, remains an active maritime guide, offering visitors a stunning panoramic view of the Black Sea and Bosphorus. Just below the lighthouse lies the quaint Anadolu Feneri village, a traditional fishing community with narrow streets, wooden houses, and family-run seafood restaurants. The village maintains its authentic, peaceful charm, making it a great spot for enjoying fresh fish, scenic walks, and escaping the city's crowds. Whether you're drawn to history, nature, or coastal tranquility, Anadolu Feneri offers a perfect retreat with a blend of maritime heritage and local culture.
