Kırım Church, also known as the Crimean Church, is a historic Christian church located in the Beyoğlu district of Istanbul. Built in the mid-19th century, it was originally constructed by the Crimean Tatars who had settled in Istanbul following the Crimean War. The church is an exquisite example of neo-Gothic architecture, with its sharp arches, detailed brickwork, and large, arched windows that allow light to flood its interior. Inside, visitors are greeted with simple yet beautiful religious icons and frescoes, showcasing the spiritual devotion of the Crimean community. The church played an important role in preserving the religious traditions of the Crimean Tatars, and today it remains a functioning place of worship. Kırım Church continues to draw those interested in its unique history and architectural beauty, making it a valuable piece of Istanbul’s diverse cultural and religious heritage.
